Counselling

Individuals, Couples and Children can often get caught in the habitual dance of repetitive conversations and behaviours, even if they are aware of these patterns. At our offices in Burnaby and Coal Harbour, we assist couples to understand how they may be struggling with the physiological flooding that often happens when our brains interpret a threat or fear. Couples bring a unique dynamic because both parties play a role in building and implementing solutions. It is helpful to have counselling services from a professional who can provide a safe environment in which both partners can feel heard and understood. It is equally important that each member of the couple feel empowered to act and be accountable for contributing to the positive progress of counselling and life outside of the therapy room.

Consulting

Media Consulting: Radio, Television, News Broadcast.

Client-centered: Focuses on an individual client (recipient of service) and helps service providers better help that client. Functions to assesses, makes a diagnosis and recommends changes. Moving through Diagnosis and Implementation and ending with an explicit Disengagement.

Consultee-centered: Focuses on the consultee rather than a particular client, helping build new skills via training and/or supervision.

Behavioral consultation: The focus is on problem-solving more than skills development or a particular client.

Organization consultation: Employ systems theory to improve productivity or to streamline the relationship between an organization and its environment. Focussing on having statistical consultants to research empirical evidence and sophisticated analysis through consulting test and certified projects. See Corporate Consulting

Litigation and risk management: Work in jury thought and decision making processes. Usually reserved to help attorneys and insurance companies to evaluate the risks of lawsuits and/or the application of settlement.

Workshops

Working with many couples as they transition from one type of relationship to another. Moving from committed and unmarried, to committed and "married", is a huge transition that deserves focused attention and investment. This is why we have built a Pre-Marital Workshop, that is designed to help couples move towards this transition with all the tools they will need to be successful.
